Bangladesh openers Saif Hassan and Soumya Sarkar put on a brilliant 100-run partnership in the third ODI in Mirpur, giving their team a strong start on a challenging pitch. The last time Bangladesh had a 100-run opening stand in ODIs was in 2023, when Tamim Iqbal and Litton Das achieved the feat against Ireland.

The pitch once again offered plenty of spin, with the ball turning sharply from the very first over. Early in the innings, the turn was measured at over four degrees, making batting a tough challenge.

Despite the difficult conditions, Saif and Soumya played with great composure. They came to the pitch of the ball, executed sweeps and reverse sweeps, and rotated the strike intelligently to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Saif stood out with his classy shots down the ground, showing a mix of timing and elegance. His strokeplay helped maintain the momentum and set a strong foundation for the innings.

Soumya also impressed with his calm approach, playing calculated shots and backing his technique against the spinners. Together, the pair handled the spin with confidence and skill.

Their partnership has given Bangladesh a solid platform in the series decider. The new opening duo has quickly captured the attention of fans and experts alike, raising hopes for consistent performances in the future.
