Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) has reworked its brand-licensing arrangements, replacing two old agreements with new contracts carrying a 6 per cent royalty on net revenue for selected brands.
The company’s board acknowledged the changes at a meeting on 29 October, according to a disclosure posted on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.
Two previous licence agreements – one with Reckitt Benckiser (ENA) B.V. of the Netherlands and another with Reckitt Benckiser Health Limited of the UK – were cancelled with effect from 31 December 2025.
Under the old Netherlands agreement, the royalty ranged from 3.5 per cent to 5 per cent of net revenue for selected brands. The UK agreement carried a 6 per cent royalty.
New agreements with the Netherlands and UK entities took effect from 1 January 2026, both at a 6 per cent royalty rate.
The company also entered into a new licence agreement with Reckitt Benckiser LLC of the US, effective from the same date, at a 6 per cent royalty on net revenue for selected brands.
The agreements are to be submitted to the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority for approval, the company said. It will notify investors once approval is obtained.
The restructuring raises the royalty rate on brands previously covered by the Netherlands agreement to 6 per cent from a range of 3.5 per cent to 5 per cent, while leaving the UK-linked rate unchanged at 6 per cent.
