When the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season ended on Friday, Rajshahi Warriors had beaten Chattogram Royals to claim the title, and on Monday the champions will return to Rajshahi for a day-long victory parade with the trophy.
After celebrating in Dhaka, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and his squad will arrive in Rajshahi on Monday morning, where they will spend the entire day marking their BPL triumph. The players will be joined by members of the coaching staff as the team takes part in a celebratory tour of the city.
The Warriors will travel in an open-top bus, visiting several well-known landmarks in Rajshahi as supporters line the streets to greet the newly crowned champions. The parade is scheduled to continue through the day, before the team returns to Dhaka later in the afternoon.
Only local players will take part in the celebrations, with all overseas cricketers having already departed the squad following the conclusion of the tournament. Even so, the scenes of celebration are expected to mirror the jubilant atmosphere that followed the final, with the team’s title success still fresh in the minds of players and supporters alike.
