The recently released YouTube drama ‘Putuler Biye’ is attracting attention not just for its story, but also for a controversial moment during filming. A video circulated online showing actress Tanjin Tisha appearing emotional on a live broadcast, sparking rumours that she had struck a co-star.
The drama’s producer, Rafat Majumder Rinku, and Tisha have clarified that the incident was part of the performance. Tisha portrays a mentally unstable character and the intensity of certain scenes was intended to convey the role authentically. According to them, the interaction captured in the video was scripted, not real violence.
Despite initial scepticism from viewers, the controversy appears to have heightened public interest. Since its release on Dhupchaya Entertainment’s YouTube channel, Putuler Biye has seen a surge in views and engagement.
Written by Ahmed Taukir, the drama features an ensemble cast including Shahiduzzaman Selim, Mir Rabbi, Samia Athoi, Momena Chowdhury, Masud Mohiuddin and Majumder Shimul, alongside Tisha in the lead role.
