Dhallywood actress Puja Chery, who began her career as a child artiste before quickly making a name for herself as a leading actress, has recently been less active in films.
Her latest release was Dom. Since then, there has been little news about her upcoming projects.
Amid her reduced screen presence, fresh rumours have surfaced that Puja is set to get married. Some reports have even claimed that the actress has already tied the knot.
According to the rumours, Puja has married a prominent businessman in Bangladesh. Attempts were made to contact the actress several times for clarification, but she did not respond.
As a result, the marriage reports remain unconfirmed.
Earlier this year, Puja’s personal life also became the subject of widespread speculation after reports claimed that she had quietly got engaged nearly two years ago.
In an interview at the time, Puja herself confirmed that she was engaged.
She also said she wanted to complete the marriage formalities with the involvement of both families. However, she did not reveal the identity of her fiancé.
The actress has generally preferred to keep her personal life away from the public eye and has rarely spoken openly about relationships or marriage. She has therefore remained silent about the latest rumours as well.
Despite being less active in acting, Puja remains active on social media, where she regularly shares photographs and glimpses of her life with fans.
A recent post has also fuelled speculation. Puja shared photographs featuring posters of several films from her career and reflected on her journey as an actress.
“These are not just posters hanging on a wall. They are part of my journey, a reflection of my dedication, struggles and love for this work. Every character has taught me something new, and every film has made me stronger. But tell me, which one is missing here?” she wrote.
Her question prompted fans to speculate that she might be hinting at a new film or another significant chapter in her life.
However, Puja did not specifically mention a new project, marriage or relationship in the post. Any interpretation of it therefore remains speculative.
Puja rose to prominence as a leading actress with Poramon 2.
She subsequently appeared in films including Dahan, Noor Jahaan, Shaan, Golui establishing herself as one of the notable young actresses in Bangladeshi cinema.
