Pragati Industries Limited has partnered with Toyota Bangladesh to commercially distribute brand-new Toyota vehicles in Bangladesh.
The partnership was officially launched on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Pragati’s factory in Chattogram under the Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC).
Ministry of Industry Secretary Md Obaidur Rahman attended the event as the chief guest and highlighted the importance of the partnership for the country’s industrial sector, saying it would help introduce world-class Toyota vehicles with advanced safety features.
Toyota Bangladesh Managing Director Premith Singh expressed confidence that the partnership would strengthen further in the coming years.
BSEC Chairman and Pragati Board of Directors Chairman Anwarul Alam announced that 36 units of Toyota HiAce Commuter vehicles had arrived at Pragati’s factory, marking the start of their commercial distribution.
Pragati Industries Managing Director Md Kalam Azad outlined the commercial journey of the partnership and confirmed that distribution of Toyota HiAce Commuter vehicles has already begun.
Pragati operates showrooms in Dhaka and Chattogram and runs five service centres across the country to support after-sales services.
The programme concluded with the handover of the first Toyota HiAce microbus to the buyer, followed by a question-and-answer session with members of the media.
