Mia Golam Parwar, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, said any political interference from neighbouring countries poses a significant challenge for Bangladesh.
Speaking to the media at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Moghbazar, Dhaka, on Thursday afternoon, Golam Parwar emphasised that such interference could destabilize the nation’s political landscape.
“We are a party focused on elections. We are preparing for the upcoming elections,” he added.
He also mentioned that Jamaat-e-Islami has called on China to support Palestine in light of ongoing regional tensions.
Earlier, a high-level delegation from the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), led by Vice President Zhou Pingjian, met with Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Shafiqur Rahman.
Golam Parwar further noted that Zhou Pingjian expressed China’s desire to strengthen people-to-people diplomacy and enhance ties between the people of Bangladesh and China.
