Other students must provide a certificate from the head of their educational institution stating that their parents or guardians are poor. In these cases, the annual income of the parents or guardians must be less than Tk2 lakh.

Application requirements

The injury for which the grant is sought must have occurred within the current financial year or within one year of the notification’s publication.

To prove the severity of the injury, students must upload a medical certificate issued by a Civil Surgeon, a government hospital physician, or an Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer.

As the process is fully digital, no hard copies of the application should be sent to the Trust. Applicants must upload clear copies of the following documents:

• National Identity (NID) cards of the parents.
• One photograph and the signature of the student.
• Academic transcripts verifying the required GPA or marks.

Banking and payment process

Applicants must provide a full online bank account number and a valid mobile number. The account must belong to the student or their parents; accounts belonging to third parties will not be accepted unless the student is entirely dependent on a legal guardian due to the death of parents or other reasons.

Evidence of the account, such as a bank statement or a cheque leaf, must be uploaded.

The Trust has cautioned that it will not be held responsible if the grant cannot be delivered due to incorrect or inactive bank account details. Interested students must apply through the ‘e-Medical Grant Management System’ at https://www.eservice.pmeat.gov.bd/medical.
