On this day a year ago, Bangladesh completed one of their greatest ever Test victories, sealing a 2 0 series win over Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

The triumph was forged from a seemingly impossible position. After winning the first Test, Bangladesh were in deep trouble in the second, collapsing to 26 for 6 in their first innings. A magnificent 165 run partnership between Litton Das, who scored a century, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz then staged a stunning recovery, taking them to 262.

Pakistan’s small lead was quickly eroded by two young fast bowlers, 21 year old Nahid Rana and 24 year old Hasan Mahmud, who triggered a collapse in the home side’s second innings. Bangladesh’s top order comfortably chased down the 185 run target to secure a historic series victory.
