Oasis Accessories (Pvt) Ltd, a Bangladeshi company, has committed to investing $4.8 million to establish a new facility in the BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) in Mirsharai, Chattogram.
The agreement for this project was signed on September 8, 2025, at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka, according to a BEPZA press statement.
The factory is set to produce 1 million cartoon boxes, 42 million poly bags, and 1 million meters of foam annually, creating 311 new job opportunities for local workers.
The investment marks another milestone for the BEPZA Economic Zone, which has attracted $1028.39 million in total investment from 48 companies to date.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, with Member (Investment Promotion) Md Ashraful Kabir signing the agreement on behalf of the authority. Oasis Accessories Managing Director Md Selim Reza represented the company.
The event was attended by senior BEPZA officials, including its Member (Engineering) Md Imtiaz Hossain, Member (Finance) A N M Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain, Project Director of BEPZA EZ Mohammad Anamul Haque, and Executive Director (Public Relations) ASM Anwar Parvez, along with representatives from Oasis Accessories.
