BNP Vice Chairman and candidate for Feni-3 (Daganbhuiyan–Sonagazi) constituency Abdul Awal Mintoo on Saturday said there is no alternative to the BNP for protecting the country’s independence, sovereignty, and overall development.
He made the remarks while addressing a roadside election rally at Karamatia Bazar in Sonagazi upazila.
Abdul Awal Mintoo said only the BNP is capable of leading the country’s development and ensuring public welfare.
Urging voters to support the party in the upcoming election, he called on them to vote for the BNP’s electoral symbol, the sheaf of paddy. He claimed that Bangladesh would truly progress if BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is brought to power.
Referring to the current political landscape, the BNP leader alleged that although their political opponents are losing public support, they continue to engage in conspiracies and political maneuvering. He stressed the need for unity among BNP leaders and activists to counter what he described as ongoing plots.
Addressing residents of Daganbhuiyan and Sonagazi, Mintoo pledged that if elected and if the BNP forms the next government, the development of the two upazilas would be given top priority. He promised initiatives to improve education, healthcare, culture, communication networks, and overall living standards in the area.
He also appealed to voters to elect him in the 12 February election, saying their support would enable him to work more effectively for local development.
BNP Executive Committee member Shahena Akhter Shanu, Sonagazi Upazila BNP Convener Zia Uddin Babul, Member Secretary Syed Alam Bhuiyan, Abul Kalam Chairman, Sonagazi Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Khurshid Alam Bhuiyan, along with other party leaders and activists addressed the rally, among others.
