The nomination of National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam has been approved for the Dhaka‑11 constituency to contest in the national election.
The Dhaka District Returning Officer declared his nomination valid at around 11:30am on Saturday.
The announcement was later confirmed to the media by NCP Joint Secretary Tamim Ahmed in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, in Dhaka‑8, another NCP candidate, Nasiruddin Patwary, also secured approval of his nomination papers.
