Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) reported a 12 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated earnings for July-September.
The private commercial bank’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) fell to Tk0.59 from Tk0.67 a year earlier, according to unaudited financial statements approved by its board on Wednesday.
Standalone EPS, excluding subsidiaries, dropped 13 per cent to Tk0.67 from Tk0.77.
For January-September, consolidated EPS declined 8.3 per cent to Tk1.76 from Tk1.92, while standalone EPS fell 10.6 per cent to Tk1.68 from Tk1.88.
The sharper third-quarter decline indicates that earnings weakened more rapidly towards the end of the nine-month period.
Consolidated net operating cash flow per share turned negative at Tk9.22 in July-September, against positive Tk10.78 a year earlier, a deterioration of Tk20 per share.
Despite the quarterly outflow, consolidated operating cash flow per share for January-September surged 164.8 per cent to Tk39.69 from Tk14.99.
Consolidated net asset value per share stood at Tk25.27 at the end of September, down from Tk25.77 a year earlier but slightly above Tk25.11 at the end of December 2025.
MTB’s board approved the third-quarter financial statements at its 339th meeting on 28 October.
