Mirza Abbas, political adviser to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and a member of the BNP Standing Committee, has been admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
BNP Media Cell confirmed the matter in a Facebook post on Thursday.
According to Afroza Abbas, wife of Mirza Abbas and president of Jatiotabadi Mohila Dal, he lost consciousness during Iftar on Wednesday. Family members took him to the hospital at night.
She sought prayers from the people of the country for his recovery.
