BRAC Bank has appointed Md Asif Bin Idris as deputy managing director and head of corporate, commercial and institutional banking, effective 30 December 2025, the bank said.
Idris, who will also join the bank’s management committee, has more than 22 years of banking experience spanning corporate and commercial lending, portfolio management and business transformation.
Before joining BRAC Bank, he served as senior executive vice president and head of commercial banking at Prime Bank. He previously held senior roles at HSBC and Eastern Bank, working across client development and balance-sheet growth.
Commenting on the appointment, BRAC Bank Managing Director and CEO Tareq Refat Ullah Khan said Idris’s sector experience and leadership would support the bank’s efforts to strengthen its corporate and institutional franchises, according to the statement.
Idris holds a master of bank management degree from Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management and a bachelor of business studies from the University of Rajshahi.
