Two Bangladeshi cricketers went unsold at the Women’s IPL auction held in Delhi on 27 November. The upcoming Women’s IPL is scheduled to take place on the field in January 2026. Three Bangladeshi players entered the auction, but while two were put up for bidding, no franchise showed interest.
Marufa Akter, who had taken six wickets in six matches at the last Women’s ODI World Cup, was expected to attract attention. However, despite a base price of ₹3 million, no franchise opted to buy her, leaving her unsold. Rabeya Khan, who was also in the auction, remained unpicked.
The third Bangladeshi player, Swarna Akter, was listed in the auction but has not yet been called for bidding.
While Bangladeshi players went unsold, several international cricketers attracted hefty bids. New Zealand all-rounder Sophie Devine was bought by Gujarat Giants for ₹30 million, while the highest price in the auction went to Deepti Sharma, acquired by UP Warriors for ₹32 million using the right-to-match option.
