Police recovered the body of a man from the side of the railway tracks in Atrai upazila of Naogaon on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Neamul Bashir, 48, a college teacher at Bara Simla Mohila College in Atrai upazila.
The body was retrieved from Shahagola railway station area. Family members alleged that he was murdered in a planned manner.
His brother Mizanur Rahman said he last spoke to Bashir on Tuesday evening, when he was returning to Naogaon town from the Atrai railway station area in a CNG.
Mizanur alleged that the attackers killed his brother and dumped his body by the roadside, citing previous enmity as a possible motive.
Atrai Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Mahbub Alam said police recovered the body after receiving information from locals.
He said the victim had signs of severe head injuries, and evidence was collected from the scene. The OC added that efforts were underway to identify those involved and bring them to justice.
