SM Mainul Kabir has officially taken charge as the Managing Director and CEO of SBAC Bank PLC on Wednesday, Prior to this appointment, Mr. Kabir served as the Deputy Managing Director of United Commercial Bank PLC.
With over three decades of distinguished experience in the banking sector, Mr. Kabir has held several senior leadership roles across multiple banks, including Head of Credit, Chief Business Officer, Head of Credit Administration, and Head of Branch, according to a press release.
He began his career as a Probationary Officer at National Bank PLC and subsequently served at EXIM Bank PLC, Jamuna Bank PLC, Southeast Bank PLC, and Community Bank PLC, earning a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and effective leadership.
Kabir has also participated in numerous professional and management development programmes, workshops, and seminars, both locally and internationally.
Academically, he holds Honours and Master’s degrees in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka and an MBA from the Department of Management Studies at the same university, further consolidating his professional expertise.
