UEFA has confirmed that the 2027 Champions League final will be held at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. The announcement was made on Thursday following a meeting of the governing body’s executive committee in Tirana.
This will mark the second time Atletico Madrid’s home ground has staged the showpiece event, after Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur there in 2019. Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, had also been in contention to host the final, but UEFA opted for the Spanish capital.
The 2026 Champions League final is scheduled for 30 May in Budapest. In addition, UEFA confirmed that the 2027 Women’s Champions League final will take place in Warsaw, while Salzburg will host the UEFA Super Cup next year.
