Actor and dancer Nora Fatehi has finally broken her silence on the long-standing rumours linking her to Moroccan football star Yassine Bounou, reports News 18.
While appearing on The Kris Fade Show, Nora dismissed speculation about a romantic relationship, describing Bounou as “a really good friend” and praising both his personality and achievements on the football field.
The rumours surrounding Nora and the Moroccan goalkeeper have circulated for months, fuelled by reports that the two were spotted together in Casablanca’s Ain Diab district and Nora’s consistent support for Morocco’s national football team.
However, the actress made it clear that their relationship is rooted in friendship.
Blushing when Bounou’s name came up during the interview, Nora said, “Oh yeah. He is my friend.
I think he is an amazing person. And I am sorry but one of the best goalkeepers in the world, which I am so proud of and I am consistently celebrating that. But yeah, he is a really good friend.”
When the host jokingly remarked that the pair would make a good-looking couple, Nora laughed off the comment, responding, “Oh really?” She went on to explain that her admiration for Bounou stems largely from his footballing abilities.
“I watch the whole Moroccan team play. But yeah, I mean, have you watched him play? Have you seen some of his saves? They’re unheard of in the goalkeeper world if you study football. So, massive support for him,” she said.
Speaking further about their friendship, Nora revealed that they share the same manager and had known each other casually for years before becoming closer in recent months.
“He is also very kind. I mean, we share the same manager. So I have known him for a long time vaguely, distantly. We only connected a couple of months ago,” she shared, adding that Bounou remains grounded despite his global success.
“He doesn’t care about social media and fame. He only cares about his stats and how he plays,” Nora said, applauding his dedication to the sport.
During the same interview, Nora also addressed previous rumours linking her to another Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi.
She clarified that the speculation was baseless, explaining that she had only recently met Hakimi through mutual friends.
“I actually never met him before. I just met him recently with a bunch of friends, like ‘Hi, hello’. We have never really connected like that,” she said, while expressing admiration for his contributions to Moroccan football.
Although rumours continue to surround Nora and Bounou, neither the actress nor the goalkeeper has confirmed any romantic relationship.
Reports in Moroccan media have also speculated about Bounou’s personal life, including claims regarding his marriage to Imane Khallad, but neither he nor his family has publicly commented on those reports.
