Bangladesh T20I captain Litton Das remains a doubt for the opening match of the three-match T20I series against Australia in Chattogram on June 17 after suffering a calf strain during the third ODI in Mirpur.
The remaining two matches of the series are scheduled for June 19 and 21
Although the injury is not considered serious, Litton’s availability for the series opener remains uncertain. A source close to the team said the wicketkeeper-batter is being monitored over the next 24 hours after sustaining the strain.
It’s not a major concern. He felt discomfort in his calf muscle and should be fine. But we are not certain about his availability for the first T20I,” the source told Times of Bangladesh
The team management is expected to assess his recovery over the coming days before making a final decision.
Litton was forced to retire hurt on 48 during the third ODI but later returned to the crease to complete a half-century. The knock was his first ODI fifty at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
