Bollywood star Aamir Khan has allegedly received a threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang through a social media post, according to NDTV.
The alleged message, which NDTV said it could not independently verify, was reportedly issued in the names of Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Arzu Bishnoi, and another individual identified as Tyson Bishnoi.
The post accused Khan of promoting what it described as “love jihad” and claimed the gang would “not tolerate” him. It warned that the actor would “face the consequences” and alleged that such actions were against Sanatan Dharma and the nation.
The message further claimed that anyone allegedly promoting such activities under the cover of stardom would be dealt with by the gang.
The post also referred to the alleged kidnapping, trafficking and sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, last month. It praised the administration for its response but accused some political leaders of attempting to protect certain suspects. The message warned that anyone involved in the case who escaped legal action would face punishment from the gang and urged political leaders to stop interfering.
It also paid tribute to two men identified as Parvesh and Himanshu, describing them as “martyred brothers” and vowing that their deaths would not go unanswered.
According to sources, police received information about the alleged threat through Facebook and a voice note. Authorities are verifying the authenticity of both.
Sources said Mumbai Police have not yet received any complaint from Khan or his representatives. They added that a case could be registered if the actor files a formal complaint.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has issued repeated threats against Salman Khan over the years. The gang, which claimed responsibility for the 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, has linked its hostility towards the actor to the 1998 blackbuck hunting case during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain.
Lawrence Bishnoi also publicly threatened Salman Khan during a court appearance in 2018. The gang later claimed responsibility for the firing outside the actor’s Mumbai residence in April 2024. It also claimed involvement in the killing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, alleging that anyone supporting Salman Khan would also become a target.
