Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has sparked pregnancy rumours after a recent appearance in Mumbai, but a source close to the actor has dismissed the speculation, reports The Indian Express.
Videos of Kareena walking towards her car surfaced on social media on Friday, prompting several users to speculate that she was expecting her third child with husband Saif Ali Khan.
“She is not pregnant. The rumours are false,” a source close to the actor said.
In the viral videos, Kareena can be seen walking towards her car as members of her team accompany her.
At one point, a member of her team holds an umbrella in front of her, partially shielding her from the paparazzi.
The footage quickly fuelled speculation online, with some users interpreting her appearance as a possible baby bump.
One user commented, “For a moment I thought it’s her 3rd time,” while another asked, “Is she pregnant?” A third wrote, “Looks like a baby bump yaaar.”
However, the source has now confirmed that the speculation is unfounded.
Kareena and Saif are already parents to two sons, Taimur Ali Khan, 9, and Jeh Ali Khan, 5.
The couple, who married in 2012, have often spoken about balancing their careers and family life.
Kareena has previously discussed how she and Saif coordinate their professional commitments to ensure that one of them is available for their children.
In an earlier interview with Vogue, Kareena spoke about Saif’s experience of becoming a father at different stages of his life.
“Saif has had a child every decade—in his twenties, thirties, forties and now in his fifties. I’ve told him, in your sixties, that’s not happening,” she said.
Kareena also praised Saif for being a devoted father to his four children from different stages of his life.
“I think only a man as broad-minded as Saif could be a father of four children at very different stages. He gives his time to them all,” she said.
She added that the couple had made an arrangement to balance their professional schedules after the birth of Jeh.
“And now, with Jeh, we are trying to balance it out. We’ve made a pact that when he’s shooting for a film, I will try not to work on one at the same time [and vice versa],” Kareena said.
For now, the latest pregnancy rumours surrounding the actor have been firmly dismissed.
