The July Charter 2025 will be signed on 15 October at the South Plaza of the National Parliament. The historic signing ceremony will be led by the Chief Adviser of the interim government and Chairman of the National Consensus Commission Muhammad Yunus.
Representatives from various political parties and alliances across the country are set to attend the event, according to a press release signed by National Consensus Commission (NCC) Public Relations Officer Paban Chowdhury.
This decision was finalised in a meeting on Thursday, at the NCC office in the Parliament building. During the meeting, expert opinions and feedback from five discussions with political parties regarding the implementation of the July Charter were analysed.
The commission expressed confidence that the insights gathered from experts and political parties would soon lead to a set of recommendations and the final draft of the July Charter, which will be submitted to the government for approval.
The meeting was attended by commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, members Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, and Dr Md Ayub Mia.
Additionally, chief adviser’s Special Assistant Monir Haider, who is part of the consensus-building process, also participated in the meeting.
