A four-member delegation led by Md Moshiur Rahman of Hiroshima University called on the Vice-Chancellor of University of Dhaka, ABM Obaidul Islam, on Wednesday at the latter’s office.
Other members of the delegation included Akiko Watanabe, Yuka Iuada, and Kokoro Kamitani, reads a press release.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes between the University of Dhaka and Hiroshima University.
The exchange of teachers, students, and researchers between the two institutions was also discussed.
They agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard soon.
The Vice-Chancellor briefed the delegation on the history of the University of Dhaka and its academic and research activities.
He also thanked the guests for their visit and their keen interest in the university’s academic and research initiatives.
