Janata Bank ALCO meeting urges deposits, remittance growth

The Asset-Liability Management Committee (ALCO) of Janata Bank PLC met on Monday, 29 June at the bank’s head office, chaired by Managing Director Md Mujibur Rahman, said in a press release, as the lender reviewed operational priorities and balance sheet strategy.

The meeting brought together Deputy Managing Directors Kazi Abdur Rahman and Md Foyez Alam, along with general managers and relevant deputy general managers, to assess current financial conditions and set near-term policy direction for the state-owned bank.

During the session, Managing Director Md Mujibur Rahman issued directives in light of prevailing conditions, focusing on expanding low-interest deposits, increasing foreign remittance inflows, and strengthening recovery efforts for classified loans and written-off loans.
