Jamuna Bank PLC marked International Women’s Day with a women’s health awareness programme at its head office in Dhaka on Saturday.
The programme was organised as part of the global observance themed “Rights, Justice and Action for All Women and Girls”, according to a press release.
The event featured awareness sessions on major women’s health issues, including cervical cancer, breast cancer and endometriosis, aimed at increasing health awareness among women.
Jamuna Bank PLC Managing Director and CEO Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the programme.
Major General rtd Professor Liza Chowdhury and Professor Fauzia Hossain attended the event as special guests.
Jamuna Bank PLC Additional Managing Director Md Abdus Salam, Deputy Managing Directors Noor Mohammed, AKM Atiqur Rahman and Mohammad Jahangir Alam, along with other senior officials, were also present at the event.
