The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has asserted that Tehran, rather than Washington, will be the party to determine when the current conflict concludes.
Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, acting as a spokesperson for the IRGC, dismissed recent statements from President Trump regarding the war’s timeline as fabrications intended to mask previous military setbacks with a false narrative of success, reports Al Jazeera.
According to the IRGC, the United States is facing depleted ammunition supplies and is seeking a way to exit the conflict without losing face. Naeini further alleged that American military facilities within the Persian Gulf have been neutralized.
Regarding Iran’s own military state, the spokesperson contradicted claims that joint US and Israeli operations had weakened their missile arsenal.
Instead, he maintained that Iran is currently deploying a higher volume of missiles than at the start of the conflict, featuring projectiles with warheads exceeding one tonne in weight.
In addition to these military claims, the IRGC announced a halt on regional oil exports directed toward opposing nations and their allies. Naeini characterized international efforts to manage energy prices as unsuccessful and temporary, stating that the embargo would remain in place until further notice.
