IPDC Finance PLC participated as gold sponsor in the Women Summit & Exhibition 2026, organised by Power of She Trust at Elite Convention Hall in Gulshan, Dhaka, the company said in a press release on Wednesday. The two-day event, held under the theme “Women’s Role and Importance in the National Economy” and the slogan “She Leads, She Shines,” highlighted women’s contribution to the national economy.
The exhibition featured 38 stalls showcasing local businesses, including dedicated spaces for emerging entrepreneurs, acid survivors, and third-gender participants. The ‘Uddokta Hunt’ paired student entrepreneurs with women-led stalls, providing practical experience in sales and customer management. Stamford University Bangladesh student Jannati Eva won the competition and received Tk20,000 to launch her venture.
Dialogue and learning sessions addressed physical and mental health, entrepreneurship, and economic participation. The summit also included a masterclass on women’s entrepreneurship by ShopUp Co-Founder Sifat Sarwar. Speakers included fashion designer Bibi Russell, Lipi Khandokar, and Mamun Rashid.
IPDC Chief Financial Officer Fahmida Khan said women’s economic participation is key to financial inclusion and platforms like the Women Summit help connect aspiration with opportunity. The company said its participation aligns with its Women Banking and CMSME strategy, aimed at expanding economic opportunities for women across Bangladesh.
