Indian Border Security Force(BSF) and Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) will hold bi-annual conference in Dhaka from August 25 to 28.

Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Daljit Singh Chawdhary will lead the Indian delegation while the Bangladesh side will be headed by Director General of BGB  Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui.

The conference will focus bi-lateral border-related issues and better coordination between the forces.

Earlier, a BGB delegation visited India for the talks from February 17-20. But this will be the first time that the Indian delegation will travel to Dhaka after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in August last year.

The two countries share a 4,096 kilometer international border. The BSF is designated as the lead security and intelligence-gathering agency for this front, the Times of India reports.
