Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam has said that employment for 10 lakh people will be arranged in the ICT sector.

He made these remarks on Saturday afternoon at an event inaugurating road construction work in Madhupur, Tangail.

The minister said that a decision has been made to take necessary steps to increase foreign investment in the high-tech parks.

He stated, “Since the formation of the government, we have been working under the leadership of Tarique Rahman from the very first day to deliver development and services to the people’s doorstep. Implementation of all development activities, including the Family Card, Farmer Card, and canal digging programme, has begun as part of the BNP government’s election pledges.”

Fakir Mahbub Anam said, “I want to keep the people of Madhupur-Dhanbari in peace. I want to build it as a safe city. As part of my election pledges, there will be no form of extortion or terrorism in my constituency, no land-grabbing will occur.”

At that time, Madhupur Upazila Executive Officer Md Jubayer Hossain, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Naim Uddin Ahmed, Upazila Engineer Md Rafiqul Islam Bhuiya, Agriculture Officer Rakib Al Rana, Madhupur Upazila BNP President Md Zakir Hossain Sarkar, Abdus Samad, Senior Vice President M Ratan Haider, General Secretary Md Nasir Uddin, Madhupur Pourasabha BNP President Khurram Khan Yusufji Prince, General Secretary Khandakar Motalib Hossain, along with local BNP leaders and administrative officials, were present.
