The 15th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) took place on Saturday, 27 September 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.
ICSB Secretary in Charge Md Shamibur Rahman opened the meeting which was presided over by ICSB President M Naseemul Hye.
Hye presented the Council Report for the year 2024 and highlighted the key activities and achievements of the Institute during the year, including the successful hosting of the 11th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence 2023, conducting various training programs, seminars, and CPD initiatives, the launch of the new website, and the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Hye also noted the signing of MoUs with different organizations, the establishment of the ICSB Chattogram Branch, and the favorable verdict in the land case at Aftab Nagar as significant milestones for the Institute. He expressed gratitude to the members for their continuous support and valuable suggestions, which have greatly contributed to the development of ICSB.
A large number of members attended the AGM and actively participated in discussions on the Annual Report, expressing their appreciation for the Institute’s performance. Members also agreed that the Council is working diligently to achieve its goals and elevate the Institute to its long-awaited vision of becoming a ‘Center of Excellence.’
ICSB Treasurer Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun presented the audited financial statements for the year ending 31 December 2024, which were approved by the members.
‘ACNABIN Chartered Accountants’ was appointed as the external auditors for ICSB for the year 2025.
ICSB Senior Vice President Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, ICSB Vice President A K M Mushfiqur Rahman, Council Members, and a number of fellow and associate members were also present at the meeting.
