ICB Islamic Bank PLC reported a sharp deterioration in first-quarter earnings, with its loss per share more than doubling from a year earlier as the lender’s net worth remained deeply negative.

The bank posted a loss per share of Tk0.36 for the January-March quarter, compared with a loss of Tk0.15 in the same period last year, according to a disclosure published by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday.

Its net asset value (NAV) per share weakened further to negative Tk22.36 as of 31 March 2026 from negative Tk20.49 at the end of December, reflecting continued erosion of shareholders’ equity.

Net operating cash flow per share improved to negative Tk0.36 from negative Tk0.77 a year earlier.

Separately, the board recommended no dividend for the year ended 31 December 2025.

For the full year, the bank narrowed its loss per share to Tk1.22 from Tk1.42 in 2024. However, its financial position continued to weaken, with NAV per share deteriorating to negative Tk22.00 from negative Tk20.78 a year earlier.

Annual net operating cash flow per share improved to Tk0.80 from negative Tk1.43 in the previous year.

The bank has scheduled its annual general meeting for 21 September, with 28 July fixed as the record date.

Following the corporate declaration, the DSE lifted the price limit on the bank’s shares for Wednesday’s trading session.

The stock closed unchanged at Tk2.80 on the DSE.
