Despite a gritty 95 from opener Ibrahim Zadran, Afghanistan were bowled out for 190 in the second ODI against Bangladesh at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on 11 October 2025. Bangladesh now require 191 runs to square the three-match series.

After electing to bat first, Afghanistan failed to form any substantial partnerships, losing wickets at regular intervals. Rahmanullah Gurbaz departed early, and the innings suffered another setback when Rahmat Shah was forced to retire hurt.

Ibrahim, however, held his ground, rotating the strike sensibly and anchoring the innings. Mohammad Nabi made 22 off 30 balls, while Nangeyalia Kharote added 13 runs. Ibrahim’s 95 came off 140 deliveries, featuring three boundaries and a six, a patient knock that kept Afghanistan afloat.

A late 22 off 18 balls from A.M. Ghazanfar offered brief resistance before both he and Ibrahim were dismissed in quick succession. Rahmat Shah returned to bat but was unable to continue, and Afghanistan were eventually bowled out for 190 in 44.5 overs.

For Bangladesh, captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz led from the front with three wickets. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain picked up two apiece, while Tanvir Islam claimed one.
