Abdul Malek Gazi, head teacher of Nabarun Girls’ High School in Satkhira, has been suspended based on a reinvestigation report by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Jashore.
The school’s ad‑hoc committee decided on the suspension in a special meeting, effective Monday. The decision was confirmed in a letter signed by school president Shah Md Kamruzzaman.
According to the letter, several allegations against the teacher were substantiated in a reinvestigation conducted by the Satkhira district administration, following the Jashore board’s findings.
The allegations include irregular appointment as assistant teacher (computer), flaws in a B.Ed certificate obtained from Royal University, unlawful receipt of senior scale before completing a second‑class bachelor’s degree, violation of rules in distributing funds, opening additional branches and appointing part‑time teachers without approval, and unlawfully keeping the adolescent girls’ toilet and comfort zone closed.
The letter further noted that the suspension was carried out in line with the Jashore board’s directive and the ad‑hoc committee’s decision taken on 9 August 2026.
Abdul Malek has been instructed to respond within 10 working days on whether he will refrain from filing an appeal with the Appellate and Arbitration Authority for further departmental action.
For the sake of school discipline, he has been directed to refrain from administrative and official duties until the allegations are resolved. He must also hand over all necessary documents to the assistant head teacher within five working days.
