Mustafizur Rahman continues to enhance his reputation on the global T20 circuit, with his performances in the Pakistan Super League drawing admiration from teammates and opponents alike.
The left-arm seamer made an impressive start to the tournament for Lahore Qalandars, returning figures of 1 for 19 in four overs as his side secured a dominant 69-run victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen.
While Mustafizur’s contribution was measured, it proved effective in maintaining pressure during key phases of the innings. His control and variation once again highlighted why he remains one of the most sought-after bowlers in franchise cricket.
Speaking after the match, fellow pacer Haris Rauf praised the overall strength of Lahore’s bowling attack, singling out Mustafizur for special mention.
“Our bowling unit is of a very high standard — something you do not often see, even at international level,” Haris said. “We have quality across both pace and spin, and even our bench is strong. We will continue to adapt combinations based on conditions.”
On Mustafizur, he added: “He plays in leagues all over the world and has delivered consistently for Bangladesh. He has strengthened our attack significantly. I am keen to learn from him, he is very experienced, and I hope to pick up different skills from him and apply them in matches.”
Lahore Qalandars will next face Karachi Kings on 29 March as they look to build on their winning start.
