The contractual appointment tenures of Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani and Senior Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Md Ehsanul Haque have been extended by another year. The ministry issued two separate notifications on Monday extending their tenures.
Ghani was appointed as the country’s 26th cabinet secretary on a contractual basis on 16 February this year. He had previously held several important posts, including Ssenior secretary of the Home Ministry and Secretary to the President’s Office.
Meanwhile, Md Ehsanul Haque was appointed as senior secretary of the Public Administration Ministry on a contractual basis on 12 October 2025.
