FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick delivered a strong message before the Champions League clash against Atlético de Madrid.
“We don’t need a miracle, just a good game,” Flick said.
Barcelona come into the match after a 4-1 win over RCD Espanyol. The result kept them at the top of La Liga. Flick is confident his team can overturn the 2-0 deficit in the quarterfinal tie.
He said Barcelona have already shown they can control matches. “Anything is possible,” he added.
Flick also spoke about player management. He said he tried to control minutes in the last match, but the flow of the game forced changes.
He gave updates on the squad. Gerard Martín could be available. Frenkie de Jong may have limited minutes.
The coach praised the team’s second half against Espanyol. He said their control improved after the break.
Flick stressed the need to stay focused. He dismissed any complacency despite leading the league. He said the team must stay united and confident ahead of the clash, and he believes a comeback is within reach.
