A fire broke out at Kushtia’s Boro Bazar area’s Toh Market on Friday noon.
A blaze erupted in the warehouse of New Sadia Traders, a cosmetics shop in Toh Market.
Kushtia Fire Service personnel rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control after approximately 30 minutes.
The warehouse stored a range of products, including cosmetics, toys, and other merchandise.
Preliminary estimates suggest losses of around Tk 40 lakh, though the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No casualties have been reported.
Rafiquzzaman, Assistant Director of Kushtia Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the team managed to contain the fire within half an hour and that authorities are investigating the cause.
