A fire that broke out at a helmet warehouse in Old Dhaka’s Mukim Bazar was brought under control on Sunday evening after nearly two hours of efforts by firefighters.
The blaze erupted on the second floor of a six-storey building in the Bangshal area, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The fire service received the report at 6:04pm and reached the spot at 6:08pm. Six units from the Siddique Bazar Fire Station worked to contain the fire, bringing it under control at around 7:55pm.
No casualties have been reported so far.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage were not immediately known.
