A fire broke out on the ninth floor of a 10-storey commercial building in the capital’s Segunbagicha on Saturday afternoon.
The Fire Service and Civil Defence said the incident was reported at 3:04pm, and the first unit from Siddikbazar Fire Station reached the spot at 3:14pm.
Five units from the Siddikbazar station were deployed to bring the blaze under control.
Firefighters contained the fire by 3:30pm, preventing it from spreading to other floors.
No casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
