A filling station manager was killed after being run over allegedly by a trucker in Narail Sadar upazila early Sunday.
The deceased, Nahid Sardar, 35, manager of Tanvir Filling Station, died following an altercation with the truck driver over fuel around 2:15am. His friend, Jihadul Molla, 29, was critically injured and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The incident occurred under the Tularampur railway bridge on the Kalna–Jashore highway, said Tularampur Highway Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Sekendar Ali. Nahid’s body has been sent to Narail District Hospital morgue, he added.

Police said Nahid, of Perli village in Tularampur union, was returning home on a motorcycle with Jihadul after finishing work at 2:10am.
CCTV footage shows the truck chasing them at high speed before running him over. Nahid died on the spot, while Jihadul was rushed to Narail District Hospital and then sent to Dhaka in critical condition.
Locals and colleagues alleged the killing was deliberate, carried out in anger after the driver failed to get fuel. They demanded justice, calling it a planned murder.
Witnesses said the driver, identified as Sujat, had come to the pump for fuel Saturday night and quarreled with Nahid when refused. He allegedly threatened to run over the manager before the fatal incident.
