A court in Manikganj has sent former municipality mayor Ramjan Ali to jail. He appeared before the court after a long period in hiding.

He had earlier secured bail from the High Court in two cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Judge S K M Tofayel Hasan of the Manikganj District and Sessions Judge’s Court passed the order on Thursday afternoon after rejecting his bail petition.
