The EU and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) held a high-level dialogue on the business climate on 1 December, bringing together EU ambassadors, senior government officials, and leading European businesses, according to a press release.
French Ambassador Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet addressed the event, underscoring the value of long-term partnerships with Europe and the untapped potential for trade and FDI. “We want to do more, and we strongly believe that Bangladesh can attract much more European investment and capital,” he said.
The Ambassador also welcomed BIDA’s recent reform initiatives aimed at improving the investment climate, noting that “the key now is to sustain this reform momentum, strengthen regulatory clarity, and ensure policy continuity and stability.”
