At least eight people, including four children, were shot on Saturday night in New York’s Coney Island, according to an ABC News report citing the New York Police Department (NYPD).
Those injured included two men, two women, and four children aged 14, 12, seven, and six.

Police said a firearm was recovered from the scene, but no arrests have been made so far, ABC reported.
The NYPD did not immediately respond for comment.
Saturday also marked the 250th anniversary of United States independence.
