EDOTCO Bangladesh has received the ‘SDG Brand Champion Awards 2025’ for its energy-efficient innovation and sustainable telecom practices.
The company was awarded in two categories – ‘Most Energy Efficient Initiative of the Year’ for its ‘Power Genie’ initiative and ‘SDG 12 for Responsible Consumption and Production.’
It also received an honorable mention for ‘The Most Sustainable Telecommunications Company’, says a press release.
Bangladesh Brand Forum and the Sustainable Brand Initiative hosted the award ceremony at a hotel in Dhaka. Over 500 industry leaders and sustainability experts attended the event.
Sunil Issac, Country Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh, accepted the awards and said, “Sustainability is at the heart of our purpose. We are committed to creating a greener, more resilient digital future for Bangladesh.”

Its key innovations include the Bamboo Tower, Hybrid Solar-Wind Tower, and Smart Pole Street Furniture, which focus on minimizing carbon footprints and enhancing operational efficiency.
The company’s efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on improving energy efficiency and adopting circular economy principles.
