In light of an official gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs banning all activities of Awami League, the Election Commission has suspended registration of the country’s oldest political party.
Earlier on Monday, the interim government officially banned all activities of the Awami League, the political party led by ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
