Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has retained the highest long-term credit rating of AAA from Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh Limited (CRAB) for the fourth consecutive year, reaffirming the bank’s financial strength and stability.
The bank also received a short-term rating of ST-1 with a Stable Outlook, reflecting its strong financial position, resilient operating performance and ability to navigate evolving economic conditions, said in a press release.
According to the rating assessment, EBL’s continued recognition is supported by its sustained financial strength, prudent risk management practices, strong asset quality and commitment to sustainable growth.
The rating agency also highlighted the bank’s robust capital base, healthy liquidity position, disciplined credit culture and consistent operational performance.
