West Bengal actor and producer Dev recently greeted his Bangladeshi fans with a message from Taki, West Bengal, where he shared several photographs captioned, “Hello Bangladesh, I can see you.”
The post has received nearly 300,000 reactions, with many Bangladeshi viewers sending him good wishes. Some also recalled his film Bunohaans, parts of which were shot in Bangladesh.
Dev is now in the spotlight for his upcoming film Desu 7, which marks his reunion with actress Subhashree Ganguly after 12 years. The two stars, who were once romantically involved, have returned as an on-screen pair in the film.
The recently released teaser has already generated considerable interest. Running for one minute and 30 seconds, it features Dev in action-hero mode while also bringing back the romantic chemistry that once made the Dev-Subhashree pairing popular.
Another major attraction is Anirban Bhattacharya, whose look as the antagonist has drawn praise. Sporting long hair and sunglasses, Anirban appears in a striking new avatar. After a year-long dispute with the Tollywood Federation, which reportedly led to him being barred from work, he is making a fresh comeback with the film.
The teaser for the film’s first song, Tor Shudhu Tor, was released last Saturday. Sharing it, Dev and Subhashree wrote, “Some relationships never fade away. They only find a way to return.”
The caption has prompted fans to speculate about the two actors’ past relationship.
Dev and Subhashree first appeared together in Challenge in 2009. Their chemistry went on to win audiences over in several successful films. However, their relationship reportedly fell apart after the release of Khoka 420 in 2013.
Desu 7 also marks Dev’s directorial debut. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on 16 October.
