DB has arrested Yusuf Ali, the prime suspect in the Manikganj double murder involving the killing of his sister-in-law and nephew in Daulatpur.
In-Charge of District DB Manobendra Malo confirmed the matter around 10:30am on Wednesday.
Yusuf Ali was arrested from the Mirpur Beribandh area of Dhaka on Tuesday, four days after the incident.
Manobendra said police would produce Yusuf before the court following the completion of necessary legal procedures.
According to police and local sources, Yusuf allegedly murdered his sister-in-law and nephew at around 9:30pm on 30 May, due to a family dispute. During the incident, he also attempted to kill his elder brother, Salam Mia.
The following day, Mina Khatun, Salam’s mother-in-law, filed a murder case against Yusuf at the police station.
